    CSS Muscogee: Civil War Blockade Runner Ship naval first day cover postmarked at Stone Mountain, GA on Sept 19, 1970. Blue photo of vessel printed on cachet #2186 by Alvin Eckert #9964 USCS. Cover franked with a 6 cent Stone Mountain stamp # 1408 (FDOI) on a gummed quality envelope. Cover with a DIY matte and 5x7 frame, makes a fine gift! CSS Muscogee: This 223' steam powered case-mate ironclad ship was built in Columbus, Georgia in 1862-64. She was re-named CSS Jackson and later captured while still fitting out and burned by Union soldiers on April 17, 1865.
