CSS Water Witch: Confederate Gunboat naval first day cover with apostmark from Washington, DC dated Feb 22, 2012.
Color battle image printed on cachet #2248 by Alvin Eckert #9964 USCS.
Cover franked with a 32 cent Riverboat stamp and a 45 cent flag stamp(FDOI).

CSS Water Witch: this 150' steamer was captured from the Union Navy in Ossaba Sound on June 3, 1864. She escaped the Federal forces until December 19 1864, when she was attacked at White Bluff, GA
.
