    General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson: Confederate Civil War portrait cover pictorially postmarked at (VMI) in Lexington, Virginia on Nov 11, 2019. Blue period photo printed on cachet #2061 by Alvin Eckert #9964 USCS.
    Cover franked with a 4 cent Generals Lee and Jackson stamp # 788 and a 44 cent flag stamp on a un-gummed quality envelope. Cover with a DIY matte and 5x7 frame, makes a fine gift!
    General Thomas Stonewall Jackson: He was a West Point graduate (class of 1846) and fought in the Mexican-American War. In the American Civil War he fought at 1st Bull Run (where he got his nickname), the Valley Campaign, Seven Days, Cedar Mountain, 2nd Bull Run, Antietam, Fredricksburg, and he died at Chancellorsville. He was mistakenly shot by a Confederate soldier while riding his horse at dusk.
