You do not have to climb a tree, it is enough to take a long pole and collect all the bees in the bag. Hold a little to calm the bees and poured out of the bag to catch a swarm into a new hive.
You can also use this as a trap. Tie to  the tree a stick with a bag ( in the open position ) and put into the bag a bait for the bees.
