Select
is the best, almost clear, dime size (or smaller) tight red knots are acceptable, except in frame rabbit, hand holes and finger joints.
Commercial
is the best seller, a knotty grade, knots can range in size but are tight which do not affect finger joints or frame rabbit. Small tight cracks, panel/finger variations (within a 1/32") and imperfections are acceptable.
Budget
is poor quality, a knotty grade, knots can range in size which may be loose and can be any where in the panel. Minor panel or finger alignment (within an 1/16") issues but a fully functional box. Small repairs may be necessary.
We use a low moister white pine for consistency
which can affect drying & assembly. We typically run a load within two weeks of delivery to cut down on moister variations. Our box panels are ran through a single machine from start to finish which eliminates human error & inconsistencies which means there are no moister changes between machine runs that can affect fit.
