    A Nicholson thermograph cacheted cover hand cancelled aboard the US Navy destroyer USS WAINWRIGHT on her 1stt Day of Postal Service as well as 1st Day in Commission, Apr 15, 1940. The ship was expended as a target at Bikini in Jul 1946.
    The rear flap is not sealed. There are no postal markings on the back.
